A.I. Projects Editor, The New York Times - Dylan Freedman is an investigative reporter and machine-learning engineer on the A.I. Initiatives team at The New York Times. He specializes in the use of artifi cial intelligence as a background element in the reporting process: to parse vast troves of data and unlock stories that would otherwise go untold. He previously worked at The Washington Post, where he built open-source tools and software for elections, and led development at DocumentCloud. Before he went to journalism school, Dylan worked on a machine-learning research team at Google.
